Phobias

OFTEN RESOLVED IN ONE SESSION!

A phobia is generally understood to be an overwhelming or disproportional fear of an object, event, or situation that poses no significant danger. This is different from the sort of anxiety you might experience when preparing to take your driving test or when before giving a presentation. The key differentiation is the increased level of physical and psychological distress that can lead to a sufferer being unable to function ‘normally’.

As phobias are often related to specific events in the past it is possible to change or break the association with the historic memory that is triggering the phobic response and current distress.
